Thank you for the feedback that was submitted on the Club Rep Survey. We love to hear what you are looking for as an NCGA Club and how we can better serve you.
Note: This newsletter is sent out only to you as the Club Rep, and we count on you to share this information with any other club admins (membership chair, tournament chair, etc.) or members who might need it. I’ve indicated in each section who you should share the information with. New information for Club Reps this month includes:
- NCGA Club Highlight: Sharing Best Practices
- Rules of Golf 101
- Volunteer Opportunity at MPCC!
- Multi-Member Rebate Program
- Dues Increase for 2026
- ProCore Championship Tickets Lottery
- Bryan Rodriguez
NCGA Club Highlight
For the Club Rep
We’re excited to include a segment where we shine a light on best practices by clubs in our community to help you with your club operations
This month, Dana Carrigan with the Turkey Creek Ladies Club shared how she formats and sends a newsletter to 111 club members every month.
Dana keeps her newsletters focused on what matters most to club members, always including helpful links to upcoming tournaments. She even makes each member feel special by sending out birthday emails—a thoughtful gesture that’s truly appreciated!
Would you like to see your club featured in an upcoming newsletter? I’d love to hear about any creative ideas or special touches your club has tried—whether it’s a unique tournament format, fresh ways of connecting with members, fun non-golf events, or anything else you’d like to share. Just reach out and let’s celebrate your club’s story together!
Rules of Golf 101: Find your Ball, or Else
For all Club Members
We have all been there, frantically searching for our ball so we can avoid the dreaded double bogey or worse! Plus, we're on a shot clock, with only three minutes to search, so it makes sense to use the rules to your advantage.
Don't forget that your club can request a Rules Seminar to be presented at your club by one of our rules experts. To learn more, please contact me at brodriguez@ncga.org.
Volunteer Opportunity at MPCC!
For all Club Members
Monterey Peninsula Country Club invites you to volunteer for the 38th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship, October 1–9, 2025.
Volunteers will receive a uniform, meals during their shifts, and an invitation to play MPCC’s Dunes Course on Monday, October 20. Volunteers are asked to work a minimum of four shifts, scheduled over any combination of days.
Click here to view the flyer for more details and a list of volunteer committees.
The NCGA Multi-Member Rebate Program is now open for members who belong to more than one club. From July 15 - August 31, multi-members will be able to apply for their rebate by going to the NCGA Multi Member Rebate Form on our website and choosing from:
$25 Poppy Hills or Poppy Ridge credit
$15 donation to the NCGA Foundation
$15 check
This information will also be communicated directly to NCGA members. There’s no extra step required from your club—everything is handled directly between the member and the NCGA, but it is contingent on the club membership dues being paid and the member being ACTIVE. Therefore, please make sure your roster is up-to-date and club dues are paid. The deadline to apply for the rebate is August 31.
Dues Increase for 2026
For the Club Rep/Membership Chair
As 2026 approaches, please note that the Club Membership Dues will increase from $46 in 2025 to $48 in line with inflation.
