The All-New Poppy Ridge is all the Rage!
For all Club Members
We are thrilled by the buzz that the all-new Poppy Ridge is receiving recently. Highlighted below is just some of the coverage the course is receiving from popular outlets like NBC Golf Pass, Golfweek, and Yahoo Sports:
Clubs can enter up to three two-person teams of male or female players. Late registration is available, but avoid the late fee and have your club admin reserve a spot for your club today!
Rule of the Month: Fairways & Rough
For all Club Members
General Area, I always hear this term in the Rules of Golf, but I always tend to forget what it refers to. Finally, we can get some clarity in this month's Rule of the Month linked here.
So basically, the general area is where I don't tend to find my golf ball, as I'm usually searching in the penalty areas!
Don't forget that your club can request a Rules Seminar to be presented at your club by one of our rules experts. To learn more, please contact me at brodriguez@ncga.org.
New Marketing Materials for your Club!
For the Club Rep/Membership Chair
As presented on the Club Rep Day, we have created a new marketing template that you can use for your club. The templates linked below can easily be edited to highlight your club's information and benefits, along with the NCGA benefits.
The poster template can be printed and placed at the front of the pro-shop register or even handed out during a club event to prospective members. Similarly, the email template can be used when communicating with prospective members, such as golfers who play your course but are not members of your club.
Be sure to click on the TN icons on the template for a tip on what club information should be included and the best formatting to use.
In Case you missed the Club Rep Day
For the Club Rep
As most of you are aware, we held several Club Rep Days at Poppy Ridge at the end of May. We received a lot of valuable feedback from those Reps who were able to attend - specifically around what you all are looking for in your role and from each other. We are taking the feedback and will reflect it in future communications, including how to better share best-practices, provide opportunities to connect, and to ensure that you have the inside-scoop to help your members get the best value from their NCGA membership.
In case you missed the Club Rep Day presentation, or if you wanted a copy of the slides, they are linked here.
Additionally, we provided packets to all the Club Reps with information on how to sign up for club events, how to sign up as a Tournament Official or Course Rater, and some of our NCGA Member Benefits. This informational packet is available to download here.
Multi-Member Rebate Program
For all Club Members
The NCGA Multi-Member Rebate Program is now open for members who belong to more than one club. From July 15 - August 31, multi-members will be able to apply for their rebate by going to the NCGA Multi Member Rebate Form on our website and choosing from:
$25 Poppy Hills or Poppy Ridge credit
$15 donation to the NCGA Foundation
$15 check
This information will also be communicated directly to NCGA members. There’s no extra step required from your club—everything is handled directly between the member and the NCGA, but it is contingent on the club membership dues being paid and the member being ACTIVE. Therefore, please make sure your roster is up-to-date and club dues are paid. The Deadline to apply for the rebate is August 31.
