Getting Clubs Ready for 2025

As 2025 approaches we wanted to highlight some reminders regarding club management for the new year.

  • There will be no new changes to the membership dues in 2025. It will remain the same at $46 per member as it was for 2024.
  • If your club is a Calendar Year Club from Jan. - Dec. please be sure that any new members are only added to your roster after January 1, 2025. If new members are added before the January 1, 2025 date, the club will be charged for both 2024 and 2025 (no refunds available).
  • If you're a Calendar Year Club and are interested in moving to a rolling 12-month membership please feel free to reach out. The clubs who have done it have found it easier to recruit members all year long.
  • Please be sure to visit the NCGA Renewal Hub, linked here, for a checklist to help your club prepare for 2025.

New NCGA Club Finder Tool

Eager new members are on the hunt to join your club, and the NCGA is thrilled to introduce an innovative Club Finder Tool designed just for them. This tool promises to enhance your club's reach in several impactful ways:

- Unlock a wave of new members eager to join your club and watch your membership flourish.

- Empower prospective members to discover the best club for them.

- Gain insights into what other clubs offer, which can inspire new innovative ideas for your own club.

- This new Club Finder Tool will be included on the NCGA.org Join Now page.

Thank you to all the clubs that have submitted their club information in the past month. If you haven't already submitted your club info please let us know more about your club by submitting this short form linked here.

A Shout Out for the Shout Outs

At the NCGA, we're committed to delivering unparalleled value to our members, ensuring every moment of their membership is enriched with rewarding experiences. But we are especially thankful to you, our dedicated Club Rep, for amplifying our message.

Two clubs in particular, Lake of the Pines Lady Niners Club, and Peninsula Golf & Country Club have helped share the NCGA's message to those who may not have seen it otherwise.

The Lake of the Pines Lady Niners Club posted our Golf Terminology Blog to their website, which has caused an uptick in referral traffic and helped prospective/new members learn about one of the intricacies of golf that can be difficult to learn at times.

Peninsula Golf and Country Club has helped to promote our NCGA Scramble Qualifying events by including it in their Golf Club Communications as shown below.

In turn, we have been able to fill all spots in every qualifying location with eager participants!

No action is too big or too small, from simply adding an NCGA link to your communications or website to providing your members with a comprehensive overview of our tournaments (P.S. Look out for this in our Monthly Bulletin coming soon!). Thank you for all you do to help us promote this game we all love throughout Northern California!

Rule of the Month - Stroke Play vs Match Play

The two most common formats of play in golf are Stroke Play and Match Play. A ruling can be very different depending on which one is being played. Let’s explore some of the differences.

Read the NCGA Blog on Rule of the Month here.

We value your input! Is there a particular rule you'd like for us to explore in future newsletters, empowering you and your fellow members with deeper insights into the game? Drop us an email or leave a comment on our Rule of the Month Blog Post.

Calling Club Champions!

Are you ready to shine in the spotlight? We're on the hunt for Club Champions to grace the pages of the Winter edition of NCGA Golf Magazine. Has your club recently crowned its champion, or are you the champion yourself? If you know someone with a story worth sharing, we want to hear from you!

Premiere Golf Club Travel Program

The NCGA has a Member Trips program of organized trips with one of our staff members.  But we recognize not everyone wants all of that – so we’ve partnered with Premiere Golf to provide golf travel packages to our clubs!

They make it super easy to organize a golf trip for your club by taking care of all the leg work. They work with resorts and courses to secure golf tee times, caddies, rooms, logistics, and even assistance with flights if needed. They will tailor trips to align perfectly with your club's goals and budget, crafting experiences that fulfill your members' wish list and beyond. The cherry on top is a free spot for the club when getting seven other paid members on the trip (so you can reduce the cost of the trip for all eight people if preferred over giving the free spot to the organizer).

The NCGA will also include NCGA swag for your travelers, so pull together your members for a great trip!
