Welcome to our first newsletter of the year. You are receiving this because you or a club associate filled out your name on our 2022 Club Ambassador form. The form is always up on our website, so any adds/changes can be made by just filling out a new form (see the link below). In addition to making sure our member clubs have assigned one or more ambassadors, we want to set the agenda for the upcoming year. So, in February, I will be sending out a short survey to find out what topics are top of mind for you to add to my list. I also send out a more general Club Officer Newsletter the first week of the month, so will try to focus the ambassador content on augmenting that, but occasionally we repeat topics that bear repeating.
Looking forward to the year ahead!

2022 NCGA Event Calendar
The 2022 NCGA Master Event Calendar is online! See it Here
Use the drop-down at the top to filter for different categories of events. Yes, it is a new look-and-feel from last year, but very easy to navigate.
Registration will open at the end of January for Member Outings, early February for Senior Series and mid-February for the club events (Team Match, Four-Ball Net, Zones, Associate Club).
New This Year: The NCGA will be using a new tournament signup system for all events (NCGA TM powered by BlueGolf). The first time you register for an event, there will be a few extra clicks to create a new profile and password.
New This Year: Several of the program series have 2-3 registration opening 'windows', e.g. registration for events from February through April/May are open now. Subsequent event signups will open April and July. Check online for specific details.
NCGA Club Software FYI
We get a lot of questions about the various software tools being used by clubs and which one does what etc. We created a simple diagram to explain, please share this with all of your club leaders! See the Diagram
Events for Women
Did you know the NCGA has nearly 35,000 female members? We have a diverse range of programs and events - scratch, net, stroke play, team play, four-ball, scramble, junior, senior, mid-am - you name it. We created a resource page on the website that can direct women players to the events they may be interested in. See the Women's Golf page
Club Ambassador Updates
Are you staying in your role for this year or handing it off to another club member? For any changes, you or they can fill out the form on our Club Ambassador enrollment page.
NCGA Tournament Management
As we announced earlier, the NCGA will be using the new TM system for all NCGA-hosted events (aka NCGA Tournament Management, powered by BlueGolf).
In addition, the NCGA is providing our member clubs an option to use a free version of the software to use for club tournament management. All the information can be found on our website resource page. Click Here for FAQs, training dates, pre-recorded webinars and more.
A Helpful "Learner" Campaign
As you recruit new members you will inevitably meet new golfers who are past the beginner stage but not quite 'handicap-ready'. In order to help bridge the gap, we created a free, helpful online golf 'mini-clinic' series they can sign up for and take at their own pace. It includes helpful videos, plus content from NCGA Golf Magazine and our website. These are more than short tips - they are truly 5-10 minute 'mini-clinics.' Click Here for more info on who can benefit and how they can sign up.
NCGA Member and Club Support
Check out the Help Center for yourself and let your fellow club officers and members know that it might save them time with NCGA emails or phone calls.
