for your club this month

Hello NCGA Club Reps -

Thanks to all of you who have signed up for the club rep role (or got signed up).

Last month I shared some advice for the often-asked question "so what should I be doing?" This month, I am hearing the next question:

"As club reps, will we just be getting the same info that all members get or will we be getting unique information?"

Truthfully, a little of both.

We conduct many surveys, and despite our rich and varied communications, membership awareness of NCGA opportunities and benefits is spotty. Maybe some of you are finding that out as you talk to your members. So - we will be mixing in some 'pass the word along' with some 'here's something just for you'.

Next month, I will include  a short survey to check in with you on  your experience in the role to date and ideas for myself and the NCGA.

Rule of the Month

The first of each month, we feature one of the many interesting aspects of the Rules of Golf to share with your club. This is a great way to reinforce learning - one rule at a time, one month at a time!

This month, it's about aiding players with disabilities.

Mandatory USGA Handicap Quiz

Prior to June 30, 2024, a representative from each and every NCGA club must pass a  World Handicap System quiz. By now, the lead handicap person in your club should have received their instructions. Please find out who that is and ask them. If they have not, they can go to our website Contact Us page or call NCGA Customer Support and ask for Jeff Vanderhoof.
