Thanks again for your ongoing feedback. We have gotten a number of good suggestions, more questions and ideas to tune up our programs and communications. As we start to implement changes, you will be the first to know.
The NCGA Team
Rule of the Month - The Flagstick The first of each month, we feature one of the many interesting aspects of the Rules of Golf to share with your club. This is a great way to reinforce learning - one rule at a time, one month at a time!
This month, it's about the flagstick. While leaving it in to putt or taking it out can be a preference, you might want to check the new rules in case someone not in the know tries to challenge you on old rules. The USGA has a short video we are sharing.
The 3rd registration window for NCGA events September - December opens July15
There are dozens of interesting tournaments and competitions for everyone. Look on the NCGA website and recommend a few to your members. Don't forget to remind your members to keep on top of the monthly Tournaments and Events Bulletin email, it's a great reminder of upcoming deadlines.
If they've unsubscribed to our emails, even mistakenly, they are missing out on important info about benefits and opportunities. Here is a link to get them back on the NCGA communications train.
The NCGA offers a Multi-Member Rebate for members who belong to more than one club. From July 15 - August 31, multi-members will be able to apply for their rebate by visiting the NCGA website's Member Area (after July 15) and choose from:
$25 Poppy Hills or Poppy Ridge coupon
$15 donation to Youth on Course
$15 check
This information will also be communicated directly to NCGA members. It is contingent on the club membership dues being paid and the member being ACTIVE. Therefore, please make sure your roster is up-to-date and club dues are paid.
New Club Travel Program
The NCGA has engaged with one of our partners, Premiere Golf, to offer golf travel packages to our clubs, to be brokered by the club reps or other travel enthusiast in the club directly with Premiere. The NCGA does have a successful NCGA Member Trips program, but there are many members and clubs who would like to 'roll their own' and visit places we haven't yet added to our list. The trips allow for the organizing individual to get their fee complimentary!
The NCGA has rolled out a new club agreement form to provide guidance and guidelines for NCGA Club operations. Reminder emails will be going out next week to clubs who have not yet responded.
