Hello NCGA Club Reps -

Thanks to those of you that completed our 'check-in' survey about  your experience in the role to date and ideas for the NCGA. We are hearing that rules and handicap information is the top ask. Beyond that, we got a number of good suggestions and ideas to tune up our programs and communications.

We can't improve without your input!

Avoid handicap suspension!
Mandatory USGA Handicap Quiz

*** Clubs not in compliance could have their member handicaps suspended as of July 1 !!! ***

By June 30, 2024, a representative from each and every NCGA club must pass a  World Handicap System quiz. By now, the lead handicap person in your club should have received their instructions. Please find out who that is and ask them. If they have not, they can go to our website Contact Us page or call NCGA Customer Support and ask for Jeff Vanderhoof.

Rule of the Month -  Match Play

The first of each month, we feature one of the many interesting aspects of the Rules of Golf to share with your club. This is a great way to reinforce learning - one rule at a time, one month at a time!

This month, it's about Match Play. If your club or member groups like to play or want to try out some match play tournaments, reading up on the ins and outs of match play is imperative. There are a number of differences between stroke play and match play - check out the rules info.

    New Club Travel Program

The NCGA has engaged with one of our partners,  Premiere Golf, to offer golf travel packages to our clubs, to be brokered by the club reps or other travel enthusiast in the club directly with Premiere. The NCGA does have a successful NCGA Member Trips program, but there are many members and clubs who would like to 'roll their own' and visit places we haven't yet added to our list. The trips allow for the organizing individual to get their fee complimentary!
