19th Women’s Four-Ball Championship

Poppy Hills | November 4-5

History

First played in 2006, the NCGA Northern California Women’s Four-Ball Net Championship is a two-person, better-ball handicap event for NCGA members.  The event is contested in three flights – Big Sur, Golden Gate and Yosemite, divided by Handicap Index. In 2021, there is a gross flight that earns points for the Women’s Player of the Year program.

2018

Green Valley CC member Jennifer Douglas and Granite Bay GC member Itsuko Moridaira shot a final round 2-over 73 at par-71 Poppy Hills GC to come in at 3-over 145, defeating runner-ups Eden Anderson and Lydia Shell by two shots.

2019

Jennifer Douglas and Itsuko Moridaira took home top honors as the duo carded a final round 2-under 69 at Poppy Hills to finish at 2-under 140.

2020

Pam Fadel and Tehama Golf Club member Margie Thomas were the big winners, as the two shot a final round 4over 75 at Poppy Hills to come in at 2-over 144. 

2021

Sydney Ramskill and Marissa Mar, both former members of the Stanford women’s golf team, took the title. The duo carded a final round 3-under 68 to finish at 7-under 135. Second place went to the team of Pam Fadel and Margie Thomas at 146 after a final round 73. 

2022

The team of Lara Tennant and Joy Robinson took the Gross title, carding a final-round 2-under 69 to finish the 36-hole event with a two-day total of 3-under 139. Both Tennant and Robinson are members at Monterey Peninsula Country Club.

2024

Jennifer Serbin and Tina Barker paired up for the win under warm and sunny skies at Poppy Hills. Barker was coming off at recent win in the Super Senior division of the California Senior Women's Amateur Championship.
